Do you know how to search for tweets in a particular geographical area?

Well already, you have to go to the Twitter search page by clicking here.

Then enter your query like this:

geocode:LATITUDE,LONGITUDE,RAYON

I give you an example. I get the GPS coordinates by right clicking on Google Maps like this:

Then, I enter them in the Twitter search by adding a radius of 1 km:

geocode:45.77242922106398,3.0883699843560533,1km

And now, I get all the tweets located within a radius of 1 km around my geographical point. Super practical!

And if you don’t want to bother with the GPS coordinates, you can also go to the site Birdhunting which lets you place a point, set a radius, and get the tweets you love so much. And by taking a look in the advanced options, you can also specify the language, the type of tweets (all, video, photo), the minimum number of likes or retweets, etc.
