How to create a dynamic wallpaper in macOS?

If you use macOS on your machine, it will not have escaped you that for several versions of the OS, Apple has offered dynamic wallpapers that change according to the time of day. There are 8 by default and nothing crazy unfortunately.

Fortunately, thanks to the free tool Equinox , you will be able to create dynamic wallpapers for macOS without any limits. Through a super easy to use interface, you must first choose the type of sequence you want.

You can therefore choose between:

  • Solar, which takes into account the position of the sun. Nothing too complex since a solar calculator will allow you to put the right parameters. You just need to know when and where you took the photo.
  • Temporal, which associates a time with each photo to make sequences according to the time.
  • Depending on the appearance of your OS… If you are in light mode or dark mode, it won’t be the same photo. You will only need 2 images for this mode.

Then you throw in a handful of photos and the tool will generate a dynamic wallpaper for you which you can then export, put on your macOS by dragging and dropping it in the settings, send to your friends or market on your site buy-dynamic-wallpaper

In short, what fun, especially if you want to do it well and take real photos of the same place at different times of the day or different seasons.
