Need to transfer files between 2 machines?

Airshare is here for that! It is a command-line tool and a module coded in Python that allows you to transfer files between two machines in a local area network, P2P, using Multicast-DNS. It can therefore be used without having an internet connection.

It also allows to open an HTTP interface for those who do not use the command line. Transfers are fast and it is possible to transfer several files and directories, which will be sent bit by bit. This will avoid overloading your computer’s memory.

And the best part is that it’s available on Linux, macOS and Windows.

To install it with pip (or pipx):

pip install Airshare

To install it on macOS:

brew install airshare

Enjoy !
