Put privacy back into your emails

You know, privacy is important.

You know it and yet you continue to use Gmail. But while waiting to switch to a real mailbox, here is an extension for Chrome and Firefox that will protect your privacy a little more by blocking trackers in all the emails you receive.

So how does it work? Well, Ugly Email scans your inbox and looks for emails that contain tracking pixels. Each email containing this kind of pixel will then be marked with an eyeball icon and the tracking pixel will be blocked.

It only works with Gmail but it’s not that bad and Ugly Mail does not keep your personal data. The tool is free, open source and you can download it here for Chrome and here for Firefox which is, I remind you, the best browser in the universe.
