USB Imager – Write or create compressed disk images

Here is a free tool that comes to pose as an alternative to Balena Etcher , Rufus and the dd command.

It’s USB Imager, a super minimalist tool with a graphical interface that lets you write compressed disk images to USB sticks or hard drives. The interest of USB Imager is that a beginner can easily take it in hand. It is also cross-platform (macOS, Linux, Windows, and OS for Raspberry Pi and verifies the integrity of the image once copied.

The tool is also capable of producing a compressed image from a USB drive. Convenient for backups or copies.
